Position: Career Services Coordinator - Part-time
Position Description
The MWV Career and Technical Center Career Services Coordinator will serve as an assistant to the MWVCTC Director in some administrative task areas related to program planning for students.
Qualifications
NH Guidance Counselor Certification or eligible for certification in the State of New Hampshire. Or training and experience in Career Development Facilitation and Career Counseling.
Reports To
Director - Mount Washington Valley Career and Technical Center.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the work based learning program for the career tech students. Responsibilities include complying with DOL and DOE regulations, meeting with local business and industry representatives to arrange internships, job shadows, and coop experiences, seeking insurances and annual site approval updates, supporting students participating in WBL opportunities including visiting work sites, etc.
- Coordinates the development and dissemination of catalogues, brochures, and other materials related to the tech center’s offerings.
- Provides career guidance to individuals and groups utilizing various career exploration tools (ie. Career Cruising, etc.).
- Coordinates post secondary and industry site visits for groups of students; schedules post secondary and industry visits to the Center.
- Assist in developing and updating CPPOSs, articulation agreements, and Running Start agreements for each of the career technical center’s programs.
- Develops and implements a system to collect follow-up statistics for program completers.
- Represents the MWVCTC on various in-school committees and community groups, as well as at business and professional venues.
- Serves on the MWVCTC Regional Advisory Program Committee.
- Serves as the advisor of the National Technical Honor Society.
- Serves as the Chair of the MWVCTC Equity Committee.
- Assists in the review of established programs to assess student interests and needs.
- Coordinates informational tours for incoming students.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the MWVCTC Director.
