POSITION TITLE:  Music Teacher (60%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. NH Music Teacher certification or proof of eligibility for NH certification
2. Bachelor's degree or higher
3. Classroom experience or prior work with children preferred

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

JOB SUMMARY: To provide all students with Music education that provides for their intellectual and artistic as well as social/emotional growth to reach their full potential. 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of learning
2. Plan and deliver Music instruction based on District curriculum and student needs
3. Establish classroom procedures and manage student behavior in a manner consistent with child development
4. Monitor student learning to inform instruction and document progress
5. Coordinate with and support the UA team and other colleagues
6. Communicate with students, families, and staff about the music program and events
7. Collaborate with music educators to enhance professional knowledge and practices
8. Participate in ongoing reflection and professional development for growth
9. Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications to meet student need
10. Follow District policies and procedures and maintain accurate records
11. Complete other duties as assigned by the principal

EVALUATION: Performance will be evaluated by the principal in accordance with District evaluation procedures
