Job Description
POSITION: Communications/Human Resources Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of high school diploma/post secondary education preferred
- Five years’ experience in a related job area
- Detail oriented, independent worker, and self-starter needing little direction
- Computer experience with a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, database management, and website design
- Working knowledge of common office equipment and office procedures
- Well versed in oral and written communication
- Demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager
JOB GOAL: To provide administrative support to the Human Resources department in a highly visible position encompassing many diverse duties
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Human Resources Manager in any departmental task required, including:
- Manages marketing for the districts, including tasks associated with, but not limited to: recruitment efforts, celebrating students and staff achievements, networking with community partnerships, etc.
- Maintains social media pages and websites.
- Ensures consistent and timely posting of advertisements, board communications, etc.
- Assists new staff, volunteers and substitutes with on-boarding, training and criminal background check process.
- Schedules interviews with prospective employees.
- Assists in the preparation of N.H. Department of Labor New Hire Reporting for submission.
- Manages the SAU #9 front office, including purchasing office supplies, preparing meeting spaces, etc.
- Completes general office functions, including but not limited to, phone communications, mailings, and other front office functions as needed.
- Acts as initial point of contact for prospective and current employees, staff, students, community members, the general public and the SAU9 office.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the Personnel Policies for SAU #9 employees.
WORK YEAR: 260 days per year, 8 hours per day
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the SAU #9 Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel. The Human Resources Manager will be the evaluator.
