POSITION: JV Girls Basketball Coach
- Previous coaching experience at the high school level preferred.
- Experience working with teenagers preferred.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals, rules, techniques, and strategies of the sport.
- Ability to teach and develop age-appropriate athletic skills.
- Willingness to complete all certification required by NHIAA per policy
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
SEASON: December - March * Regular Season / Postseason
SCHEDULE: Games/Practices Weekdays and Weekends
POSITION OVERVIEW: The coach will be responsible for team activities including all scheduled practices and games, and adhere to district policies, rules, and objectives. The coach will lead by example among the team and players. Focus will be on personal development, skill development, safety, fair play, sportsmanship, and work to establish and improve the team and program.
RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON COACHING ASSIGNMENT, MAY INCLUDE :
- Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, willing to work within a coaching staff atmosphere
- Have the ability to travel with the team to and from away games
- Provide appropriate supervision throughout team travel and athletic events
- Meet or be willing to complete all Conway School District, Kennett High School and NHIAA requirements.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: There are no benefits associated with this position. Stipend amount is determined by Appendix D of the CEA Agreement.
