Description

Jackson Grammar School seeks a part time technology facilitator who can manage our network and technology infrastructure but most importantly lead our faculty in technology integration as we implement competency based education with increased personalization for students. Our vision is to further integrate current technologies into our instructional practice to augment student learning, track progress and enhance skill development across a variety of technology tools and applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with teaching, ability to collaborate, and competency with technology tools, applications and problem solving skills. Schedule is part time and flexible. 

 

 

POSITION TITLE: Technology Facilitator (Part-time)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:         1. Two years postsecondary study, or an Associate's                                           Degree (or higher) required

  1. Bachelor's degree preferred with demonstrated proficiency with technology.

 

REPORTS TO: Principal

 

PURPOSE: To enhance student achievement by assisting the classroom or special education teacher with technology integration in the classroom, and maintaining the technology infrastructure both hardware and software on a variety of devices.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

  1. Annual maintenance, set up and breakdown of school technology systems and devices.
  2. Coordinate maintenance and repairs with contracted provider.
  3. Collaborate with school staff on software and applications to support student learning or data management.
  4. Provide professional development to staff as needed to ensure integration and personalization of student learning using technology devices.
  5. Research, review and evaluate potential applications and programs.
  6. Maintain and update Fixed Asset inventory of school wide technology hardware.
  7. Assist teachers/supervisors by performing recordkeeping, data collection, and storage.
  8. Coordinate software and web based licensing, both purchasing and implementation.
  9. Coordinate and set up student assessment programs (NWEA, Smarter Balance, digital portfolio development or equivalent)
  10. Website development and maintenance.
  11. Attend SAU 9 Technology Team meetings.
  12. Develop Technology Plan, annual budget and purchasing.
  13. Follow district policies and procedures.
  14. Perform any other task relevant to the job that may be assigned by the Principal

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND EVALUATION:  Wages, length or work day/week/year, terms of employment and evaluations will be in accordance with the provisions of the negotiated contract.
