JOB DESCRIPTION

                                                                                               

POSITION:     High School Building and Grounds Supervisor

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Self-starter requiring minimal supervision, well organized
  2. Excellent building cleaning and grounds knowledge with supervisory experience
  3. Hold a valid NH Driver’s license.
  4. Experience with budgets, ordering, Purchase Orders

 

REPORTS TO:            Building Principal or designee

 

JOB GOAL:                 To provide students and teachers with a safe, clean, attractive place

to learn by supervising the day and nighttime custodial staff

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervises all custodial and grounds staff at the high school
  2. Advertises, reviews, interviews, and recommends all custodial and grounds candidates and provides for and calls all substitutes for absences
  3. Orders all custodial and grounds supplies as needed
  4. Maintains all building safety documentation and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as required by law and monitors all fire regulations
  5. Insures all equipment is properly maintained and functioning
  6. Assumes the lead custodial and grounds role for all high school events
  7. Monitors and maintains records of all attendance, absences, and budgeted items
  8. Evaluates all assigned staff as required by collective bargaining agreement
  9. Coordinates assignments and duties with all custodial and grounds staff
  10. Works with staff, school administrators and colleagues to develop and create cleaning supply and equipment budgets for the upcoming year
  11. Other duties as assigned

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with the Conway School District Administrators/Supervisors Personnel Policies. 

 

WORK YEAR: 260 days / year round position

 

EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Conway School Board’s policy on Evaluation of Administrative Personnel.  The building principal will be the evaluator.
