JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 

POSITION:    Career Development Support Personnel

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. NH DOE Paraprofessional certification
  2. Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators training completion or the equivalent
  3. Experience preferred but not required

REPORTS TO: KHS Special Education Coordinator and KHS Principal

 

JOB GOAL: To provide special education students access to and support at career opportunities as identified in Individual Education Plans.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Job recruitment
  2. Community/business relationship building
  3. Job site review
  4. On the job training and support of employee and employer
  5. Collaboration with transition coordinator (Job Prep teacher) to assign partners with students
  6. Participate in job coaching trainings with students

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with Conway School District Non-Union Staff Personnel Policies.

 

WORK YEAR: 207 day position (187 day/school year; 20 day/school vacation weeks)

 

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Conway School Board’s policy on evaluation of Professional Personnel.  The KHS Special Education Coordinator, KHS Principal and/or administrative designee will be the evaluator(s).
