JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Career Development Support Personnel
QUALIFICATIONS:
- NH DOE Paraprofessional certification
- Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators training completion or the equivalent
- Experience preferred but not required
REPORTS TO: KHS Special Education Coordinator and KHS Principal
JOB GOAL: To provide special education students access to and support at career opportunities as identified in Individual Education Plans.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Job recruitment
- Community/business relationship building
- Job site review
- On the job training and support of employee and employer
- Collaboration with transition coordinator (Job Prep teacher) to assign partners with students
- Participate in job coaching trainings with students
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: In accordance with Conway School District Non-Union Staff Personnel Policies.
WORK YEAR: 207 day position (187 day/school year; 20 day/school vacation weeks)
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Conway School Board’s policy on evaluation of Professional Personnel. The KHS Special Education Coordinator, KHS Principal and/or administrative designee will be the evaluator(s).
